Flowers and a new Mama

Alisa and Grant gave me a gift certificate for flowers for my birthday/Mother's Day to plant under my tree out front of the house. They are so beautiful and they are blooming so well right now with the cooler temperatures and rain. Thanks, Orrs.Recently, we have had a female cat come around eating the food we set out front for our cat, Stormy. Well, she is actually one of two or three that frequent the Clark front porch eatery! She was always meowing so desperately and then eating like it was her last meal. We didn't know if she was dropped off in the country or just came from one of the neighbors, but she began to hang out more and more. We decided that she was probably pregnant by the looks of her underbelly and we knew there was no way that Stormy could be the father, but he has been a gentleman and a protector. When Collette came home from work today, she saw some little kitties roaming around out front and the mama kitty feeding one under a bush. And by the looks of the kitties, they are a few weeks old already. She had them probably before she started coming regular and has moved them under the front deck. Collette saw at least two by the bushes, she happened to catch a picture of this little one and its Mama. Good times ahead!

Mason's Baptism

We had a wonderful time with family last weekend in Idaho Falls. Mason, Jef and Sarah's son, was baptized. It was a much anticipated occasion and it was so fun to see the other twelve grandchildren's excitement as they watched Mason being baptized and confirmed. Jef did a great job and gave a very beautiful blessing to Mason with the confirmation. All our family was there (except Collette and Kellsy) and many of Sarah's family, too. We all enjoyed probably a little too much eating out together after at an all-you-can-eat salad, pasta, and pizza place! It was a blessing to spend time with our family.

Easter Breakfast

Bailee, Braden, Malia, and Mary joined us for the annual 5th Ward Easter Breakfast at the church, Saturday, March 27th. Our ward always features a pancake breakfast but with a new activities chairman that is a little more health conscious, we had scrambled eggs, ham, and hash browns...fine by me! Dale cooked up a big roaster pan of eggs, ones that had some flavor, we're talking peppers, onions, bacon, etc. Needless to say, that pan went fast! The kids enjoyed winning a cake and cupcakes at the cake walk and filled their basket with lots of candy-filled eggs out on the lawn around the church.

March Happenings

Just wanted to post some events for March...Stake Relief Society did a Relief Society Birthday Celebration Luncheon featuring talks, fun song to changed words of Thanks for the Memories, Hawaiian haystacks and birthday cake, humanitarian hygiene kits, and quilts. We had a great time and completed 364 hygiene kits and 7 quilts. Here is picture that represented my talk about the wonderful legacy of Relief Society: that of charity.. .passed on from heart to heart as President Eyring told us in the RS Broadcast in September. I wanted all the sisters in the stake to remember the "warm fuzzies" President Monson told about last conference and related it to all of their acts of kindness and charity.

I spent a week in Montana with Alisa's kids as she and Grant went to California for a vacation together. We were busy with school, piano, playing at the park, and watching movies with popcorn. I was able to see their ward's pinewood derby, all three older kids entered cars. Avery won 2nd place in his scout division. It was a fun week and glad I was able to go.

"Love" from a special angel

A special angel crafted these blocks of "love" for me at a recent ward Relief Society meeting. I was visiting and then had to leave to go visit another ward in Hazelton and didn't have time to do the craft. LaRene, you are a special angel for making me a set and showing me exactly what you painted on the blocks! Thank you my friend!
