A Very Special Date

The long anticipated dates for the open house and dedication of our Twin Falls Temple came Sunday morning. My daughter Alisa called about 9 am with the exciting news. Yea, she is in Montana and she read the news online on the temple update site and called to see if I knew. I checked the Magic Valley newspaper online and they had this beautiful picture of the temple with the wonderful announcements of the dates. Open house for general public will be July 11 through August 18th. The youth production will be Saturday, August 23. The dedication of our temple will be on Sunday, August 24, a very special date for Dale and I. We are so excited that the church will be celebrating with us our 35th wedding anniversary! We are looking forward to serving as open house guides and Collette and I will begin rehearsing in a couple of weeks for the dedication choir that we are involved in. This is such a tremendous blessing for us and we are grateful to have this beautiful temple in our midst.

Another Busy Weekend!

Thanks, Jeremy and Sarah, for letting us stay at your place Thursday night, we had a great visit and loved being with you. Sarah is feeling pretty good and looking "swell". They are welcoming a little girl in July. We certainly don't get there often enough, but that will change come next month when we begin our bbq sauce markets in IF.Isaak is such a goof ball...just like his Dad! The shirt says it all, doesn't it? Dual meaning, with the antics of an active little boy and the schedule of a Dad in grad student and a Mom working nights. Isaak loves his Uncle Chad and Aunt Collette and is a ham posing for the camera. Chad and Collette downloaded some great songs on my MP3 player for the gym. I just love these two crazy kids, they keep us in stitches!
We attended the temple marriage in Idaho Falls Friday morning of one of Chad's best friends and two of our wonderful young single adults that have been serving faithfully in the branch. We love seeing them come and hate seeing them go. We then traveled home in time for a baptism of a dear friend's husband in 5th ward Friday evening. Saturday brought the annual piano Music Festival that I help run in the morning and a bridal shower for another special young single adult in the afternoon. Chad and a fellow groomsman at the reception Saturday evening. He had so many funny responses to all the questions of the guests when they asked him when he was getting married. I so enjoy being with family and love all the events that we are so fortunate to be able to participate in. We are truly blessed.
